MATH LEAGUE

Advisor: Jarrett Davidson
Central Wisconsin Math League consists of three meets on the UW-Stevens Point campus. Meets are individual written math tests that take 55 minutes. There are three levels with four students per level: Geometry, Algebra, and Advanced.
Students are recommended by their math teachers based on ability, but students may express interest to their teacher after they have taken Geometry and have the ability to at least be an alternate. Students are eligible if they are enrolled in or their most recent math class was Geometry, Algebra 2, or Pre-Calculus.
The meets are spread out through the school year, with the first generally in November and the last in April. Students can earn individual trophies for scoring in the top 3 in their category for our school size, and our school can earn a trophy if the scores combined earn in the top 3 for our school size.
Students who plan on attending UWSP for college and plan on majoring in mathematics are eligible for a special scholarship for Math League participants.
A fun bonus that motivates many math league members is eating at Polito’s for lunch after each meet!
