CONGRATULATIONS to the Amherst FFA Agronomy team of Sam Stuczynski, Porter Stuczynski, Marcus Kennedy, and Jacob Kirsling on competing at the national agronomy contest last week at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team placed 15th overall out of approximately 40 teams from around the nation, earning a Silver award. Individually: Sam, Marcus, and Porter were all awarded silver and Jacob a gold out of approximately 160 competitors. This is a remarkable achievement and the first for Amherst FFA history!!

Monday, September 9: First FFA meeting of the year during lunch in the Ag Room (H131). Open to all 7th through 12 graders. Membership is $20 per person, which includes a chapter T-shirt. Forms can be picked up in the Ag Room, or reach out to Loehrke for more info.
Tuesday, September 10: UW-Madison's admission rep during 3rd hour in the HS Office. The rep will answer admission questions and help you get started on your college essay. Any senior interested in UW-Madison is highly encouraged to show up at this time to meet the rep.

Seniors: Check your email to vote for Homecoming Court. Voting will end on Tuesday.
Fall Hoops-n-Lift will start up next week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30am-7:30am in the HS Gym/Weight Room. See Mr. Vander Laan with any questions.
Did you go fishing this summer? Are you getting ready for hunting season? If you have a picture you'd like to put up on the Fur, Fin, and Feather board outside the HS Gym, email it to Mr. Vander Laan. If you do, you will be entered into the monthly contest to win a $50 gift card sponsored by the Tomorrow River Valley Conservation Club.
