We had a very successful Sectional track meet. The following people qualified to go on to the State Meet in La Crosse June 2-3. We had a lot of other great performances. Congratulations to all:

Congratulations to the Amherst Golf team on advancing past regionals yesterday. The team scored a season low 347, breaking another team goal this year. Michael Benjamin and Evan Trzebiatowski tied for the 5th lowest golfers on the day, both shooting 84. Eli Zakzewski achieved an individual goal of breaking 90 by shooting a season low 88 -- good enough for 12th overall. The team score was rounded out byTyler Soulsby with a 91 and Kyler Kollauf with a 100.

Congratulations to the Amherst Golf Team on placing 3rd at Greenwood Hills Golf Club. The Falcons shot a 368 as a team yesterday. Evan Trzebiatowski went super low, shooting an 83. Not only was this his personal best, it was the lowest score of the day making him the number one golfer! The Falcons also had 3 other golfers in the top 20 in Michael Benjamin, Kyler Kollauf, and Tyler Soulsby. The team wrapped up their regular season finishing 3rd in conference. Both Michael Benjamin and Evan Trzebiatowski were awarded 2nd team all-conference. Congratulations to all the varsity players this season! Regionals will be at Glacier Wood Golf Club in Iola on Monday, May 22.

Congratulations to the Falcon Golf Team on winning the Bonduel Invitational. The team shot a season low 350. Michael Benjamin defended his title, shooting an individual low of 82. Evan Trzebiatowski (89), Tyler Soulsby (89), and Kyler Kollauf (90) all tied their season lows. The team plays their final conference match today at Greenwood Hills for a chance to finish in the top 3.

Congratulations to the golf team on their 1st place finish yesterday at Glen Cairn Golf Course. All five golfers placed in the top 20 as individuals. Michael Benjamin placed 3rd, Tyler Soulsby 6th, Eli Zakrewski 7th, Evan Trzebiatowski 8th, and Kyler Kollauf 19th. This was also the first time in more than five years that all five golfers broke 100! Great job!

Congratulations to the JV Golf team of Kyler Kollauf, Tyler Soulsby, Ella Beilke, Dahlaihuu Anderson, Mario Giombetti, and Ben Kisting on winning the meet yesterday at Glen Cairn. Paced by Kyler's Mountain Dew-inspired short game, the Falcons won the meet by 17 strokes. Tyler, Ella, and Dahlaihuu all contributed immaculate putting performances, while Mario and his Sponge Bob golf ball tore up the fairway. Always up for a challenge, Ben preferred to play from the trees and made it look like a breeze. Congratulations on your win!

Congratulations to the Varsity golf team on their 2nd place finish at Foxfire Golf Course. The Falcons maintain their second-place standing in conference by shooting a 373 in 42-degree weather with wind gusts more than 30mph. Michael Benjamin led the way with an 87 and a #4 finish overall. Eli Zakzewski hit buttery draws all day to score 90 and a #8 finish. Evan Trzebiatowski finished just outside the top 10 with a 93. Blake Heinz's score blew away in the wind while Kyler Kollauf shivered away the nerves in his first varsity event.
Congratulations to the JV Golf team of Peyton Marquard, Ella Beilke, Trekk Tubbs, Trent Simonis and Jacob Gibbs. Ella led the team to a first place finish at Maple Hills Golf Course yesterday. Well done!

Trash Ultimate had a great tournament in Madison this weekend, taking 6th place out of 15 teams from Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Jason Martin earned the coaches’ pick for tournament MVP with an incredible stat line and all around high level play.
Congratulations to all 10 students that participated in UW Oshkosh’s High School Art Day on Friday. Their artwork was judged and critiqued by UWO art professors with four Amherst artworks staying on campus to be put on display at the Steinhilber Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Reeve Memorial Union from May 2-May 6. A closing reception will be Saturday, May 6 from 3:30-4:30pm. Congratulations to Callie Konkol, Anna Bernarde, Allison Lassa, and Lily Passwaters.

Great job to all Band students on a fantastic Spring Band Concert last night. The highlight of the evening was the combined piece of over 150 bands students playing "Enter Sandman." Awesome performance!
Congratulations to the Amherst Golf team yesterday on another second place finish while also breaking their season team score low with a 353 at Thornberry Creek at Oneida. Michael Benjamin was the #1 golfer overall with a season low 80. Blake Heinz finished in the top 10, and Evan Trzebiatowski and Eli Zakzewski both finished in the top 15.

Congratulations to Jacob Gibbs on his Eagle in the golf match yesterday. After driving the green on the 297-yard par-4 hole 14 and burying his 12-foot putt, Gibbs earned the first eagle of his career!

Track Results: Tuesday night the track team participated in the Wittenberg HS Preconference Invitational. With a number of athletes out due to injuries and FBLA the girls team finished 6th and the boys 3rd. Individual champions include

The scanning session should last about two hours. Sometimes a nice lady brings dessert. :-)

Congratulations to the Amherst Visual Arts Classic Team! On Friday they traveled to UW Madison to compete in the state competition with nearly 50 other schools in numerous art mediums. The team competed in a State Critical Thinking challenge with more than 10 other teams creating 5 oversized art history masks in 45 minutes. The following students competed individually and all students earned either a 1st or 2nd place medal.

Congratulations to the girls soccer team on a 3-1 victory over Melrose-Mindoro. The team held the lead the entire game, with a goal scored by Mia Cope and two by Claire Lewallen.
The track team had a great meet on Monday at Tri County. The women’s team finished 4th out of 8 teams. Individual champion was Saige Peterson in the 3200 meter run. On the boys side, the team finished 1st out of 8 teams. There were numerous 2nd place finished for both teams. Here are the individual and relay champions:

Congratulations to last year’s Yearbook staff for winning a Gold level National Yearbook Program of Excellence award. Out of 396 schools in Wisconsin who were eligible for the award, only 35 schools won Gold. Most of the schools in our area won bronze, while a few won silver. Congratulations to Cayden Wright who participated in the 29-km (18-mile) Nordic cross country ski race last weekend in Hayward, WI. The race drew around 4,000 skiers ranging in ages 13 to 75. Nice work, Cayden!

On Saturday the Falcon wrestling team traveled to Oconto Falls for the WIAA Individual Regional Tournament. The Falcons came away with 7 place winners and 2 sectional qualifiers! Shoutout to the Polar Plungers this weekend: Shea, Landen, Logan, Sam, Colton, Profe Glaze, Mr. Swan, and Mr. Klieforth! The team raised almost $4,500 for Special Olympics this year. A big thank you goes out to everyone who donated to the cause and to all of the other team members who helped raise funds but weren't able to do the plunge.

Congratulations to Logan Glodowski for taking 1st place this weekend at the Minocqua fishing tournament for catching the longest fish. Logan caught a 35 ¼” northern pike. Jacob Gibbs placed 2nd catching a 35” northern pike.
