The team secured a thrilling win over Sun Prairie United in a back and forth battle on Sunday morning to make it to the semifinals against Madison West. In the end, they took the 3rd place game with a score of 13-3 in a rematch against Middleton JV. Congratulations TRASH and way to represent Amherst!

The Golf team took 5th place in regionals yesterday out of 10 teams. Unfortunately only the top four teams move on to sectionals and we missed the cut by 12 strokes. We had some VERY tough competition with the cut line being 20 strokes lower this year. If you see the players today, congratulate them on a very good season. A special congratulations goes out to Michael Benjamin on taking third place as an individual, which moves him on to sectionals. He will be competing for a state bid next Tuesday at Northbrook Golf Course.

Last night the Track & Field team competed at the Regional qualifying meet at Little Chute.  Although not all of the team qualified for the sectional meet, there were numerous other personal bests that were achieved last night, making it a great competition for the guys and girls Amherst Track and Field team.  Congratulations to all! Congratulations to the Varsity golfers who placed fifth out of 19 teams at Northern Bay yesterday, shooting a team score of 357. Michael Benjamin had the lowest score of the meet with a 77. Eli Zakrzewski wasn't too far behind with an 81. The rest of the team scores may have been affected by the bitterly cold rain,  the lack of hitting greens in regulation, or forgetting to buy a Snicker's bar....again. Their next meet is on Monday with another conference event at Glacier Wood.

Congratulations to the Varsity golf team on taking 3rd place at Bullseye Golf Club yesterday. The Falcons shot a team score of 389 with several new golfers in the mix. Eli Zakrzewski and Daniel Eichmann led the team, each shooting 94. Eli was on pace to shoot an 85 but decided to hunt for Sasquatch instead. Daniel figured out how to get through a round without a Snickers bar. Dahlaihuu Anderson shot his average and Ben Kisting and Trekk Tubbs must have felt guilty for missing morning lift as they both hoisted their scores into the triple digits. The Varsity is back in action today with their second conference meet at Golden Sands Golf Club.

Congrats to the JV Golf Team on winning the JV Invite yesterday at Glacier Wood. Eght Falcons occupied spots in the top 10, including Carson Zietlow, Kayla Cullen, Ethan Haas, and Sawyer Olds.
