On Monday, May 17, 2021 the TRSD Board of Education revised the district’s COVID-19 protocol and procedures for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, summer school and the 2021-22 school year. Keep in mind, these new procedures are related to our current COVID situation. If COVID numbers change throughout the school, school district and/or county, these new procedures may also change based on any new numbers.

We track our COVID numbers on a daily basis. We have noticed continued improvement with less positive COVID cases and less quarantines as we moved through the school year. Here are our COVID numbers by quarter:
1st quarter: 36 positive COVID cases and 378 individuals quarantined
2nd quarter: 32 positive COVID cases and 431 individuals quarantined
3rd quarter: 26 positive COVID cases and 445 individuals quarantined
4th quarter: 4 positive COVID cases and 55 individuals quarantined (through May 18, 2021)

This has been a very difficult and trying year. We are all hoping for a better 2021-22 school year. No one could have predicted the outcome and let's hope we all learned something from this experience. For the 2021-22 school year, it is important that we focus on face-to-face learning and the quality of education that we are offering. Have a safe and relaxing summer. Please make sure your children read over the summer months!
