ACT -American College Test
(College entrance exam for most Midwest Schools: look into each school for admission requirement)
SAT -Scholastic Aptitude Test
(College entrance exam primarily for East and West Coast Schools: look into each school for admission requirement)
PSAT -Preliminary Scholars Aptitude Test and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Exam-taken junior year
(This test helps to prepare students for the SAT/ACT. Students may qualify for a National Merit Scholarship depending on the score)
AP -Advance Placement
Accuplacer- This test can be taken at Amherst High School, sign up with Ms. O'Keefe
(Entrance exam for MSTC and most Technical College,look into each technical college for the testing requirement)
ASVAB- Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery
(The test required for the military. The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude test and it is administered by the military)
