Hello,

Welcome to the Amherst Middle School Math Website.  My name is Tom Fochs and I am currently completing my 11th year of teaching middle school math.  I was raised in Central Wisconsin and attended college at UWSP.  I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics Education.   I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership through Marian University.  In addition to my teaching assignments, I also coach Middle School Girls Basketball, High School Cross Country, and High School Track.

My teaching experiences have helped me to understand that the individual needs of middle school students reach beyond the curriculum offered in core classes.  I am a dedicated teacher who possesses a strong desire to encourage students to work to their full potential and become self-motivated individuals.  I believe all students can learn and I commit myself to developing each student into caring and contributing members of our global community.
