"In the path of our happiness shall we find the learning for which we have chosen this lifetime." -- Richard Bach

Hello! I teach the 8th grade language arts, reading, and several computer classes in the middle and elementary grades. Also, I advise the yearbook for the middle school.

I am a graduate of UW-Stevens Point, and after earning my teaching license, went west for a while, spending some time in Yuma, Ariz., and in San Diego, California. While this has made winters a "bit" tougher for me to deal with, I am so glad to be back in Wisconsin to spend time with my family and reconnecting my children with this special place. I hold a bachelor's degree in English, and spent some time as a professional writer before joining the teaching profession. Every day I am so glad to have the chance to be with your children, opening their eyes to the joys of literature and writing.

Being happy is a big part of me, and I try to communicate that happiness and love of life to the students. While my class is rigorous and at times difficult, it is my hope that I can share a smile or laugh every day with students so that they see school as a safe, engaging, and positive place to be.

Please feel free to email, call or stop in to see me. Thanks for visiting our website, and have a great day!
