Hi! My name is Lisa Disher and I am a second grade teacher at Amherst Elementary School.  I love teaching and enjoy working with children every day. I set up my classroom so that every child looks forward to coming to school, has fun every day, and can be successful.  It is important that every child feels welcomed in the classroom.

A little bit about my educational background: I graduated from UWSP in December of 2000 with a major in elementary education and a minor in early childhood: special education.  After graduating with my teaching degree, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in elementary education.  While studying for my Master's degree, I took additional classes to be licensed as a 316 reading teacher.  I received my Master's degree in elementary education in August of 2008.

A little bit about what I like to do: Besides enjoying my teaching career and spending time with children, I also enjoy being active at the gym, reading, and walking/biking outdoors.  I also like spending time with my husband, Jesse.
