Educational background - I  double majored in English and Speech at UW-La Crosse.

Professional background - After teaching in Minnesota for three years, I started in Amherst in the fall of 1978. Over the years I have taught most high school English offerings and an occassional middle school class. I now usually teach most of the juniors and about half of the sophomores in their required classes as well as electives in creative writing, dramatic literature, and modern literature.

Outside interests -  During the spring, summer, and fall, I enjoy camping, boating, reading in the boat or by the campfire, biking and other outdoor activities with my family. During the winter, nothing beats a good book or movie.
