A general survey was given to students in grades 2 - 5 related to their needs during lunch.   The attachments show the results from each grade level including comments.  The results will be studies by the district Wellness Committee to determine if changes need to be made.   I believe the comments are important but it does show students/parents have different ideas related to portion size, items to be served, and whether or not seconds should be allowed.   To better understand what takes place in the cafeteria I placed some basic information below. 

* On any given day the cafeteria prepares and serves over 800 lunches between 10:45 and 12:20.

*Our meal program/recipies are very highly regulated by the state for calories, fat, salt, and in various other areas. 

*Students are able to go back to the salad bar for additional food at any time.

*Students are currently able to bring in a note signed by their parent which allows them to purchase an extra lunch.
