News:  Renee Ostrowski  - 2005 Honorary Fundraising Chair

The TRSF board is pleased to announce that Renee Ostrowski has agreed to be the Foundation's 2005 Honorary Fund Raising Chair. Renee, daughter of Christine Ostrowski (and Peter, deceased), is a 2000 Amherst High graduate.  She received the Anderson Scholarship that year, which helped her attend the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point , and graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Music.  She recently completed her student teaching with Kathleen Nicholson here at the Amherst Elementary School.  According to Renee, "Education is something that can never be taken away - no matter what happens in life. The process kneads and forms responsible citizens who are likely to give back to the community in some way. TRSF makes it possible for people to accomplish their goals and achieve their dreams. It helps people become who they want to when they "grow up!".  Congrats and thank you, Renee.

TRSF was started in 1995 to provide educational opportunities for the students, graduates, and residents of the Tomorrow River School District. Since then, the foundation has awarded 74 scholarships to deserving young people for college or technical school and provided funds for 38 state, national and international workshops. The foundation’s goal is to establish a $500,000 endowment for funding scholarships in perpetuity.

The foundation is a tax-exempt corporation and is run through a volunteer board. Funding comes through the generosity of businesses, alumni, and friends of the Tomorrow River community.
